Oahu, Hawaii 2017

My little brother graduated high school in May 2017 and for his graduation present my parents, brother and I all went to Hawaii! It was truly magical. We stayed in Honolulu for 3 days and we did quite a lot.

Our first day in Honolulu we checked into the hotel and headed straight for the beach! We hung out at the beach for hours until we were all starving and needed some food. We ate dinner, had some drinks and came back to the beach to watch the sunset which was unbelievable!

I made my brother get up early on our second day and watch the sunrise with me. It was so pretty! We watched a ton of surfers that morning and just talked about life over coffee. The four of us got breakfast and coffee and went back to the hotel room. My mom surprised us all on that day by renting a car in advance and planning a tour around the island! We saw the Halona Blowhole, Waimanolo Beach, and ate some lunch at a restaurant called Ted’s Bakery. After we had lunch we drove to Haleiwa for some shaved ice and to take a picture at the wings painted on a wall near the shaved ice shop. We hung out on the North Shore for quite some time while bouncing around to different beaches. We kept driving and saw the Dole Pineapple Plantation and continued on home. When we got back to Honolulu we grabbed an easy dinner and ate on the beach.

Our third day we had coffee and açaí bowls for breakfast. We spent the day at Pearl Harbor. This was an important day because we were able to see a part of history. We saw the USS Arizona Memorial and those who lost their lives during the attacks at Pearl Harbor. My family and I were just amazed at the history that Pearl Harbor had to offer. For our final night in Honolulu, we of course had dinner and drinks by the beach.

For our final morning in Honolulu, we had coffee and açaí bowls for breakfast. We took our time packing and getting ready for our flight to Kauai.

I definitely recommend visiting Hawaii if you ever get a chance! It is worth seeing at least once.

Until next time,
